About the pieces

Is this real gold?

No. The pieces are gold-tone and silver-tone commemorative collectibles. They are not precious metal. We do not publish a plating or metal specification, because our supplier has not confirmed one to us in writing, and we will not print a number we cannot show you the source of.

What is it made of?

It is a novelty commemorative. It is not precious metal, not graded, and not legal tender. You are paying for the design, the finish, and the date.

The base metal, the plating, the weight, and any edition or mintage figure are not published. That is not evasion, it is the honest position: we have no written specification from the manufacturer, so there is no number here for you to rely on. If that changes, the specification goes on the product page with the date it was confirmed.

Is it legal tender?

No. These pieces are not currency, they are not issued by any government or public body, and they cannot be spent. Some of the historic designs we reproduce carry dollar figures or metal wording as part of the original artwork. That text belongs to the design being copied. It does not describe the piece in your hand.

What size are the pieces?

The Independence Edition coin and its silver-tone counterpart, the Legacy Edition, measure approximately 40 x 40 x 3 mm. Those are the only two measurements our supplier has confirmed. For every other piece we do not publish a size, because we have not been given one in writing.

Does it come with a certificate?

No. No piece ships with a certificate of authenticity, and we do not offer one. A certificate is worth exactly the reputation of whoever signs it, and there is no independent body certifying novelty commemoratives. What ships is the piece and its packaging.

Why does one piece say COPY?

Because it is a copy, and United States law requires it to say so. Several pieces in the vault reproduce historic American coin designs. The Hobby Protection Act and the FTC rules at 16 CFR Part 304 require an imitation of a coin design to be plainly and permanently marked COPY, in capital letters, on a face of the piece. Several pieces in the current lineup carry that mark, and each of those product pages says so.

Read the mark as a good sign. A replica that says COPY is a replica that is not pretending to be anything else. The ones to worry about are the unmarked ones.

Will it increase in value?

No, and we will not sell you one on that basis. There is no confirmed metal content to underpin a price, no published edition size, no third-party grading, and no established resale market for these pieces. Nobody can tell you what one will be worth later, and anyone who does is guessing.

Buy a piece because you want the object, the design, and the date on it. That is the whole offer.

Will the piece look exactly like the photographs?

Close, and not identical. Minor finish variation and light handling marks are normal for this type of piece. Images are illustrative. Screens also render gold-tone and silver-tone finishes differently depending on the display.

What comes in the box?

The Independence Edition and Legacy Edition coins ship in an acrylic capsule inside a poly bag. For the rest of the lineup we have no written packaging specification, so we do not describe one. Display stands and coin displays are sold separately.

How do I care for it?

Handle the piece by its edges, or wear cotton gloves. Leave it in its capsule if it came in one. Keep it out of direct sunlight, away from damp, and away from household chemicals. If it needs dusting, use a dry, soft cloth and nothing else. Do not use metal polish, cleaning dips, or anything abrasive: a plated finish is thin, and cleaning is the fastest way to ruin one.

Ordering and delivery

Where does it ship from?

Tampa, Florida. To be clear about the other half of that: the pieces themselves are imported. We do not describe them as made in the United States, because they are not.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed within 2 business days. Inside the United States, delivery takes a further 2 to 7 business days after dispatch. International orders add 2 to 5 days on top of that. You get a tracking number by email when the order leaves us.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International delivery adds 2 to 5 days to the United States timeline. Import duties, customs charges, and local taxes are set by your country and are your responsibility. We cannot predict them and we cannot pay them for you.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and the contents of the order. Orders over $200 ship free.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes, within 2 hours of placing it. Contact us inside that window with your order number and we will cancel the order or change the address. After 2 hours the order is in the packing queue, and the return process is the way to unwind it.

What is the return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery. The piece must come back in its original condition and its original packaging. There is no restocking fee. Refunds go to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of the return arriving and being checked.

If a piece arrives faulty, damaged, defective, or not as described, you get a full refund or a free replacement within 30 days, and you do not pay the return shipping. Tell us within 7 days of delivery and send photographs of the piece and the packaging. On a change of mind, the return shipping is yours. The full terms are on the Returns and Guarantee page.

Can I gift it?

Yes. Enter the recipient's address as the shipping address at checkout. If you want the piece to arrive ready to hand over, the single coin display stand turns a coin in a capsule into something that sits face up on a shelf.

What payment methods do you accept?

The methods shown at checkout, which include major credit and debit cards and the digital wallets your browser or device offers. All prices are in United States dollars.
